Toolkit
The QA Manager Toolkit
Eighteen registers that keep a food safety system running. Not a program — the structure around it. Built by someone who fills these in for a living, in high-volume manufacturing, where the paperwork has to survive a real audit rather than look tidy.
- Eighteen registers, each on its own sheet
- Document control and version fields throughout
- A worked example on every sheet
- A KPI dashboard that calculates from your monthly figures
- Editable Excel — yours to adapt, no licence conditions
One payment. No subscription.

The eighteen registers
Each one is a separate sheet, ready to fill in.
Why these eighteen
An auditor can only assess what is written down. These are the records that most often don't exist, or exist with gaps.
Correction is not corrective action
Recording what you did about the instance, but not what stops it recurring, is the most common finding there is. The CAPA register separates the two so the gap is obvious.
Nothing closes until it's verified
An action marked complete by the person who did it isn't closed. Every CAPA has a verification field and a separate signature.
Change is where systems drift
A new supplier, a new product, a replaced piece of equipment. Most small systems have no record that anyone assessed the food safety impact before it went live.
One uncalibrated probe undoes a year
If the instrument was wrong, every reading taken with it is questionable. The calibration register is what tells you which readings, and from when.
Monitoring, verification, validation
Monitoring is what you do at the time. Verification confirms you did it. Validation proves the control works at all. Most systems have the first and nothing else — and that's the gap an auditor finds first.
A mock recall you passed easily wasn't a test
The exercise is worth doing precisely because it exposes the units nobody can account for. The register has a column for the gaps, because that's the output that matters.
What this toolkit is not
These are registers, not a food safety program and not a HACCP plan. They record what your system does; they don't define it. Your process steps, hazards, critical limits and corrective actions have to be specific to your own operation, and that belongs in your program.
If you need the program itself built around what you actually do, that's the consulting side of what I do.
Questions
What format is it?
A single Excel workbook, eighteen sheets plus a cover. It opens in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Everything is editable — change the columns, the frequencies, the wording, whatever suits your operation.
Can I use it across more than one site?
Yes. One purchase covers your business, however many sites you run. What it doesn't cover is reselling it or passing it to another business.
Will it make me compliant?
No, and be careful of anyone who says a template will. Compliance comes from having a program that matches your process and actually following it. These registers are how you demonstrate you followed it.
How do I pay?
Fill in the form and I'll email a tax invoice with bank details. The toolkit comes back as soon as payment clears — usually the same day.
What if it isn't what I expected?
Tell me within fourteen days and I'll refund it. I'd rather that than have you feel stung by a $149 spreadsheet.
