Toolkits
Editable Excel workbooks for food businesses. Records, registers and dashboards set out the way an auditor expects to see them — built by someone who fills these in for a living rather than someone who has read the standard.
The Food Safety Record Pack
For any food business keeping daily records
Fifteen everyday records — the logs and registers councils and customers ask to see. Fridge, freezer, cooking and cooling logs, probe calibration, cleaning schedule, goods receival, and the supplier, training, pest, complaint, glass, visitor and maintenance registers.
Document control on every sheet and a worked example so the format is obvious.
The QA Manager Toolkit
For whoever runs the food safety system
Eighteen registers that keep a system running and prove it works. Internal audit, CAPA and root cause, non-conformance, calibration, validation and verification, mock recall, supplier approval, allergen matrix, legal register, training, document control, change control, risk, management review, and a KPI dashboard that calculates from your monthly figures.
Monitoring is what you do at the time. Verification confirms you did it. Validation proves the control works at all. Most systems have the first and nothing else — and that's the gap an auditor finds first.
The Dairy & Chilled Toolkit
For processors of milk, cheese, yoghurt and chilled products
Thirteen records covering what's specific to dairy — raw milk receival and antibiotic testing, pasteuriser verification, CIP, cold chain and temperature mapping, zoned environmental monitoring and Listeria trending, shelf life validation, date code and label verification, traceability built for silo blending, and retailer specifications.
Every limit in it is marked as an example. Dairy is licensed, and your critical limits have to come from your own validation and licence conditions.
The Retail Supplier Toolkit
For suppliers to supermarkets and distributors
Twelve records covering what a customer asks for beyond the Code — customer specifications and versions, audit and certification tracker, customer complaints and CARs, food defence threat assessment and site controls, food fraud vulnerability and controls, traceability with mass balance, withdrawal and recall log, spec conformance, product testing schedule, and the structured corrective action response you send back.
The Food Recall Toolkit
For the day you hope never comes
Ten records — three to complete now while nothing is wrong, seven to open on the day. Recall team and external contacts with after-hours numbers, readiness checklist, mock recall with mass balance and timings, incident decision record, distribution trace, notification log, recovery and reconciliation, disposal record and post-incident review.
The most common failure in a real recall isn't the procedure. It's a phone number that doesn't work.
QA Manager + Dairy & Chilled
$249 + GST for the pair, instead of $298
The two are built to sit together. The QA Manager Toolkit runs the system — audit, CAPA, validation, verification, supplier approval, allergen matrix, training and document control. The Dairy toolkit covers what's different about processing dairy. Nothing is duplicated between them.
In the works
Being built now. Tell me which would be useful and it moves up the list.
- Dairy & Chilled Toolkit — pasteuriser verification, CIP, cold chain, Listeria environmental monitoring and trending, shelf life validation.
- Retail Supplier Toolkit — what the major retailers ask their suppliers for: food defence, food fraud, traceability, complaint handling.
- Food Recall Toolkit — recall procedure, notification templates, traceability exercise, post-recall review.
- Small Manufacturer Toolkit — for sauces, spices, snacks and bakery: the system around the plan.
What toolkits are not
These are records and registers. They are not a food safety program and they are not a HACCP plan. They record what your system does; they don't define it. Your process steps, hazards, critical limits and corrective actions have to be specific to your own operation.
If you need the program itself built around what you actually do, that's the consulting side of what I do — and it's quoted as a fixed price up front.
